Job Title: Script Writer for Clara’s Corner YouTube Channel Pilot

About Us:

Clara’s Corner is a vibrant and engaging soft play area located in the picturesque Walled Garden of West Wycombe. We are passionate about creating enriching, educational experiences for children and their families. Inspired by successful children’s content creators like Miss Rachel and Blippi, we aim to bring Clara’s Corner to life through a dynamic YouTube channel where imagination, education, and fun intersect.

Project Overview:

We are producing a four-part pilot series for a new YouTube channel tailored to children aged 2-6. Each episode will be approximately 10 minutes long, featuring a charismatic lead character who interacts with young viewers, explores Clara’s Corner, and engages in fun, educational activities. The content will offer wholesome lessons on topics such as basic math, how things work, and the importance of healthy eating, while showcasing the stunning Clara’s Corner setting and The Walled Garden.

The lead character will embody Clara’s Corner’s core values and introduce children to characters such as Daphne the Dog, Arthur the Tractor, and Hettie the Hedgehog. Filming will take place in various settings, including the soft play area, café, and surrounding outdoor spaces.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in Writing for Children: You should have a proven track record in writing for young children, with a focus on creating fun, engaging, and educational content that resonates with a 2-6-year-old audience.

  • Understanding of Educational Content: A solid grasp of child development and how to incorporate simple yet effective educational concepts, such as basic math, healthy eating, and understanding how things work, into scripts.

  • Creativity & Imagination: The ability to craft compelling stories and dialogue that are both entertaining and educational. We encourage new ideas for characters, lesson structures, and fun activities.

  • Collaborative Spirit: You will be working closely with the production team, actors, and educators to ensure that the scripts align with Clara’s Corner’s values and goals.

  • Attention to Detail: The ability to maintain consistency in character voice and tone across episodes while keeping content fresh and engaging.

  • Local Residency: Living close to West Wycombe is a plus due to the weekly production meetings and on-set collaboration.

Project Potential:

This pilot series is just the beginning. We have ambitious plans for future episodes, live shows, and additional content across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. We are seeking a scriptwriter excited about the potential long-term growth of the project and who is willing to evolve with us as the series expands.
